Reinventon - 1/ 16 / 2008
The car is at GStuner.us having a broken bolt removed from the head, upgrading the manifold, gaskets (copper FTW), fixing a small leak from the timing chain cover (I think), and generally wrapping up some stuff that I just don't have time for. The car holds good compression and has held up under boost and my novice tuning after repeated 1/4 mile street pulls. There are a few other things that German Sanchez is wrapping up that revolve around the car just plain being old.
Hopefully the car is back in a few weeks, leak free, and ready for Dynosaur Performance to come out and tune it. The MAF has been ditched (mainly becuase it failed) for the MAPECU. This is what instigated the actual upgrade bug.
Initially decided to sell the car after not seeing it for like 8 months but after retrieving it from the storage facility in my hometown and trailering it to my new place Robert (AKA Chops) pushed me off the fence and i decided to have one last goround with my S13 build.
If all goes well with the engine I will be upgrading to willwood 6 piston brakes and taking her to the Supra Nationals for some track time. Nationals aren't for a couple months so i should have time to kill the engine if its going to die before driving it to Houston. The car will be putting down 300-320rwhp on 93 octane if it puts down anything at all.
So thats the real scoop on the car. The pics in the gallery are old and will be updated when the car comes home from the hospital.
Mobile and hostile... sorta... - 4 / 11 / 2007
First WOT runs made at 5psi last weekend went off without a hitch...
well until my turbo started leaking. hopefully I get the snail back
in a few days so we can see waht 10psi feels like.
Shooting for mid/low 13's on 10lbs (maxing out stock MAF). Real stats
coming soon.
